Skyforger receives Latvian Music Award 2015

On 15th March, Skyforger latest album “Senprūsija” was honoured as “BEST ROCK & METAL ALBUM of 2015” at 20th Latvian Music Awards ceremony “Zelta Mikrofons” (Golden Microphone). Album is released by Thunderforge Records, Latvia.

The event took place in Latvian National Opera House in Riga, Latvia and was broadcasted live on Latvian National Television.

“Senprūsija” got nominated in 3 categories – best Rock & Metal album, best Concert Recording, and quite unexpectedly, was also voted into Top 5 for “Album Of The Year” by expert jury of Latvian music industry (out of 114 albums submitted).

“Zelta Mikrofons” is the oldest and most respected Latvian music awards (equivalent to the Grammy awards), it’s organized by Latvian Performers and Phonogram Producers Society (LaMPA) together with Latvian Performers and Producers Association (LaIPA) with the support from Ministry of Culture of Latvia.
